Eileen Soper RMS SWA 1905 - 1990

Eileen Soper had two etchings exhibited at the Royal Academy at the age of 15which made her instantly famous. In 1924 Her Majesty the Quenn purchased one of her drypoints. Her etchings were shown in New York to great acclaim and in 1929 the Chicago Art Institute purchased the entire collection or her work to date. In 1930 the the etching maket declined and Eileen turned away from etching to drawing and watercolours
